Joseph and I are talking in the kitchen. Heather is asleep for the day, Calypso and Ceana are out picking up a few groceries around town. I offered to go, but they wanted some time to catch up with each other. Joseph is helping me whip up a pan of homemade lasagna.
Deetra is helping with the sauce. And by helping I mean tasting it occasionally to inform us when it's ready.
While I scoop the cheese out of it's packaging, Joseph nervously asks me, "Can I ask you something private?"
"Sure. Hey Pip? Can you keep an eye on dinner for a moment? I have to help Joeseph with something."
She looks over at me from her seat on the counter. "Sure thing. Don't be long.`"
Pulling the door shut I inquire as to why he needs me. "What's up?"
He seems ashamed to proceed. Taking a deep breath, he spits it out. "I know that you and Cally have been... intimate... while she was wasn't disguised as one of us."
I grip the bridge of my nose between my thumb and index finger. "I can tell this is going to be a very awkward conversation." Pulling my hand away I smile at him. "Yes. I know where you are going with this, so I will give you the words I tell myself every time. 'What the hell.' Served me well so far."
He just seems disappointed. "That's it? You've always been the most uptight person I know. Hell, you ditched Harley when you found out that she had a latex fetish! God knows what you and Cally do."
Ah, Harley. That relationship didn't last long at all. "Well, things change."
"Fair enough. Alright! Time to get cookin'!" He dropped this surprisingly quickly.
Upon our return to the kitchen we hear Deetra's shrill voice crying out. "No no no no no!"
"What's wrong Pip? Holy hell, is the sauce on fire?!"
Sure enough, the pot has small blue flames flicking within. Deetra screams, "I tried to speed it up, but instead it exploded!"
Joseph throws on a pair of mitts and pulls the pot away from the stove. "Well, I learned something today. Magic and cooking don't mix."
Everyone gets together to eat.
Nobody complains out loud.

I managed to picture the ending with the blown up pot... I saw Deetra covered in some sort of dark red sauce which almost looked like lava and she was crying and slightly burned... I laughed my ass of form the picture of Joy with some really silly cartoon sad face with big puppy eyes! XD
