Name of species: Crenzaat.
Does the name have a meaning? What is it?:
A name the race chose to call themselves.
Why are they called this?: See above.

Appearance:
Thin, Armored bodies covered in a chitinous material with blue, scaled flesh between the exoskeletal plates. Rather than mandibles the race possesses a reptilian head, complete with cold staring eyes.

What colour is their skin/scales/feathers/other?:
Armor plates are generally tan/gold while others may be grey/silver. Scales are commonly blue, but may occasionally be green or red, and are  somewhat reflective.

Do they have wings?: No.

What do they vaguely look like? (Snake, horse, dragon, dog etc):
They are bipedal.

How big are they? (length and height):
Generaly six inches taller than the average human.

Describe their eyes:
Eye color ranges from silver to violet, with brown and blue being extremely rare. Also reflective.



Is there anything most prominent about their appearance? (Wings, colour, size etc)
Other than the fact that they are practically lizard-beetles? No.



What do the offspring of the species look like?
Similar, armored plates are more prominant.

Can they change their appearance? (eg. change colour or shape like an octopus):
External changes are possible, commonly used to shift into a human form to put the refugees at ease. The plates and scales are malleable, when solid it provides defense. When shifted it can mimic the human form and even some clothing.  Ost still wear actual clothes to preserve a little mass as subdermal plating.


How many limbs do they have? (arms, legs and wings are limbs):
Two arms, two legs.

What colour blood do they have? (If they do bleed):
Blue-Brown


Now give a brief overall description of this species:
For the most part they are a peaceful and forgiving race. Their technology focuses on energy and biomechanics. Most are inclined to make the human refugees comfortable by adopting a human form. Some rarely leave this form while in a city with a human population. Some humans seem to think tat the Crezaat are actually the ones who feel out of place near humans.


Social
Politcal system is close to democracy, with other strange elements humans are still learning about.
Are they a social species?:
Yes. Some who work with humans even adopt human mannerisms and phrases.



Are they territorial?:
Unknown. The story behind the race is being learned by the main character as he goes along. It is safe to assume that there may be an inherant terretorial factor.


Do they travel alone? Or are they in a herd/pack/clan/tribe/flock?:
Solo or in groups.

Varied as much as humans. As a race, thoughtful and forgiving. But not above punishing those who deserve it.

Most do. There are a few who feel uneasy around them.

Most of the time.


What do they eat?:
Unknown as of now. Possibly omnivores.


Is there a reason why this is their diet?:
The main charecter is on his first official day outside of the facility he was being detained at.

Can you really tame a sentient species?

Extremely.


What do their voices sound like? Do they roar, scream, hiss, speak in a language, etc?:
When speaking in their native tounge, it resembles a clicking and hissing. When speaking English they almost universally adopt a British accent. There are a few oddities which go with other accents.

Relatively agile.

A mountainous planet with an atmosphere similar to Earths, the different gases make most humans uneasy at first, but breathing becomes easier over time.
Where do they live?
Xionus, the aforementioned planet.

Warm and usually dry.

What is the difference between male and female apart from the obvious? (size difference, males are more colourful, have more horns etc):
Males seem to have thicker plates, While females tend to be a bit larger and have clawed hands with a two foot spike sheathed in the forarm.
